"Off the top"Shady Niggas/females"

people you can trust
sometimes aren't the people you should trust
it always turns out like that it seems.
you always think they would hold their word
or would never in life betray you,
but someway or another they find away
to hurt you,
knowingly or unknowingly.
it really doesn't matter
because it hurts both ways
just about the same amount.
the one who always is like "i wouldn't do that"
watch they ass..or like "i love you too much to hurt you like that"
watch they ass too.. or "yo, you my nigga yo"
they be the main one trying to rap and holla at your love/girl....
Be aware at all times/..aka.. Dont trust no one.

Clae's and Keep's

Clae Footwear Pictures, Images and Photos Clae Footwear Pictures, Images and Photos

Finally... Commonwealth has Clae's... (http://www.cmonwealth.com)

I have yet to try on a pair - Let alone see anyone up north with these kicks yet - But when I get the chance... It'll be the "Rollins," though I like the "Russell" as well.

I know in Chicago they carry em at LEADERS 1354 (duh, best store ever), and I'm willing to bet at UNTITLED too, but most likely the N. Clark St. one, cause I was just at the one in Evanston and didn't see any... Then again, I wasn't looking for Clae's. (I was looking for Keeps.)

Speaking of, I made a new friend Saturday. I was at a party and my ace's cousin instantly decided she wanted to be my friend cause I was wearing Keeps. Work for me! I mean, I don't remember the girl's name but... hey.

Keep's (http://www.keepcompany.com) are pretty much sneaks specifically for girls. They make apparel and accessories too, though I haven't ventured that far. My fav pair are "The Ramos" models... cause those are the ones I got at UNTITLED! Yay! Anyway, they are usually canvas sneaks, and nice cause they don't have the bulk of a lot of other unisex kicks. Even still, they have high tops, flats, and everything in between.

("The Ramos" model! Mine are black... but the back is diff).

A major pet peeve of mine is girls who wear kicks with skirts. 95% percent of the time the shoes are too clunky for all that, and 3% your feet are too damn long to be doing that. I can safely say that Keep's could and should be worn as the sneak to fit the skirt. (I generally hate skirts, but to each his own... er, "her" own.)

Plea to Mrs. Obama

Cheers for my new pres-elect ;; it's majorly refreshing to have someone who not only looks like me, but is from where I'm from (regionally, politically, social-economically, etc).

The winds of change are a'blowin'.

His speech on the 4th was fantastic (as was McCain's, assuming that it was from his close-to-cardiac-arrest heart), and I felt a swelling sense of pride as I watched the first black family enter onto the stage: Obama, his daughter's Malia Ann and Natasha, and then... WTF?? is Michelle Obama wearing?!

Ordinarily I would try my hardest to rebel against agreeing the opinions of others, but I have admit: most people I've talked to feel very passionately about this dress... the same sort of passion the KKK probably feels about this whole situation.

If I've ever hated anything in my life...

What's a little comforting about my decline into the public general consensus is that EVERYONE hates that thing, giving me more faith in the fashion-challenged members of our country... and less in Mrs. Obama's impending first-lady fashion threads.

The hideous thing was regurgitated out of the mind of Narciso Rodriguez - a designer whom I generally don't despise - based on the 2009 Spring collection and probably cost at LEAST a thousand buckaroos.

HOPEFULLY because it's only WINTER 2008, those two were just extremely fashion forward and all of us spectators will stop griping and fall in love with the outfit after the New Year... but I doubt it.

Something like a black widow spider comes to mind when my eyes wander haphazardly onto those garbs - a term even more unnerving considering how paranoid I am that Obama may not make it to January 20th.

Mrs. Obama, I still love you. I forgive you. It's been a long campaign, and this has been the only real fashion discrepancy that I've felt horrible enough to comment on. But I beg of you, not only as an American, but as a person who is not visibly-handicapped... don't ever in your life do that again.

And oh, "congratulations."

Kicks and Coats

So the Kidd was breezing through SF (http://www.sneakerfreaker.com/) and what should she see...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

SUPRA SKYTOP...
The kicks were built for Chad Muska (Ohio-based professional skateboarder and entrepreneur). Brushed suede and zebra print...

Now ya'll know I love me some animal-print. So what do I gotta do to get these?

The lowest I've seen them priced at have been $95 and some change... (hit eBay)... but I'm sure if you know someone or have a nice rack, you can get 'em for cheaper. Who knows.

This year so far I have been very pleased with Erik Ellington, more so than in the past.

Shoes are just gettin weird now... Bogus...

I know CRs have been looking a little old lately, as that tends to happen when people don't know how to properly wear shit.

But, fellas, go ahead and do you. I'm pretty much off the CR tip though once the whole world got on.

LADIES...
Looking for that new winter look?

Too bad. There is hardly such a thing as "new ideas."

Fashion is redundant - at least in the Chi - 'cause it's getting around coat-wearing time...
I know times are hard; money's tight, just like your waist-bands (work out, bitch).

Instead of buying eighty-five coats and then going into debt (again), accessorize.

For nice, long wool coats or other belted clothing... switch up the belts. (DUH).
Who told you that you have to stick to the the simple piece that came with it?

Plus, ya'll all know that your mama has some bogus-lookin-ass outfit that is in good condition but you wouldn't be caught dead in. Big Mama's been tryna hand that off to you for years...

Chop n' screw that bitch! - the outfit, not Mama Dukes.

Take a sewing class (or just "wing it") and turn it into whatever. It's not hard.

I had a Famous Stars and Strap shirt that got fucked in the wash... Once I find it, I'll put a pic up here. But I made a bag out of it. And what's even more refreshing than something new to put all my shit in... No One Else Is Going To Have My Cops.

Be original.

That's what it's all about, right?
