Hungry Shoes and Dirt-Be-Gone

I don't know about you, but ever since Turkey Day ended, I've been having food on the brain.

The following Friday morning was dubbed time to start up the diet again...

(warning: horrible segway into fashion-topics approaching...)

I was out to lunch with to my dude Jake at the infamous MickeyD's on State (&& Jackson??) when I looked down and noticed that he was ever-so-ironically kickin' Gourmets.

(For those that don't get the irony, it was a feeble attempt at humor but perhaps my funny meter is out of whack since I started my diet. - The term "gourmet" is usually associated with the "culinary arts of fine food," thus half-heartedly funny that I noticed them in a Mickey's.)

My darling Jake insists that his black ones look like Jordan's - maybe the Cease model?? - but I don't think so. Maybe...

Some male in my posse positively MUST get the Santo model in amethyst since purple is a positively DIVINE color and it would make me proud to walk around the streets of Beverly or Downtown with a man in purple NFNs.

Um, speaking of this fucking Windy City, I am extremely frightened of wearing my kicks out in the abominable snow, as minutes after falling it's not nearly quite as pristine and lovely as when you first looked out of your window.

Still, we snow-bootless freaks thunder on.

If you're hardheaded like me and value your kicks just about as equally as your life, I'd suggest Jason Markk.

At www.jasonmarkk.com (or at various retailers world wide such as Solemates in Chicago and Henry or Hospitality in Richmond, VA), you can cop a boss ass Premium Sneaker Solution. Also sold are all of amenities; cleaning brushes, microfiber towels (hypoallergenic, btw), and briefly a limited edition travel kit to clean your kicks on the go.

SO: Some idiot just stepped unawares on your supaflys?? Never fear. After you're done jumpin his ass, whip out the Markk and quickly get back to steppin...

Or something like that if I had to improv a commercial.
